1. This young man loves sports and music. He has received a number of awards. He performs well in school and is recognized for his scholarship. He tutors the younger children at the Miriam Duggan Home. His parents died of AIDS and his aunt could not care for him.

2. This teenage girl is in high school. Her best subjects are geography, biology and art. She enjoys drawing and puts a lot of effort into her school work. Her father abandoned her family when she was a small child.

3. This boy has sometimes struggled in school but perseverance is now doing better. He loves soccer. His father died when he was five years old

4. This young teenage girl does well in school. She enjoys helping around the home with housework and other chores. Her father abandoned her. Her mother could not care for her in a proper manner.

5. This young teenage girl has struggled in school. She is now at a vocational school for a practical career. As a small child her home was filled with abuse and eventually her father deserted her.

6. This high school girl loves music and dance. She is an excellent traditional dancer. Music and dance were a part of the therapy that helped her to overcome a very abusive background.

7. This elementary school girl excels at school. She loves to help her twin sister with homework. Sadly, her father died of AIDS when she was only six months old.

8. This young girl loves social studies and English. She also enjoys swimming. Her father died of AIDS.

9. This teen girl likes science and social studies. She has difficulties sometimes at school as she came to the Love and Care Family as a malnourished child. Her mother died during her birth and her very young father did not know how to care for her.

10. This little girl is happy to have the opportunity to go to school. Coming from an abusive home and malnourished she is now receiving the opportunities every child deserves.

11. This little girl is a budding actress. She is now healthy. She came to the Miriam Duggan Home in a very malnourished state from an impoverished environment. Her father abandoned her family and her mother struggled to find work while and aging grandmother tried to look after the little girl.

12. This young teenager enjoys the freedom of being a school girl. As a child her disabled mother had trouble caring for her. As a result other family members wanted to marry her off as a child bride. Eventually the Love and Care Family was able to rescue her and give her care.

13. This little boy loves to sing. His mother abandoned him when he was still an infant. He likes school and does well with his studies.
