Mukwano means cross cultural friendship in the primary language of Uganda. A dedicated group of young women from Oakland Catholic High School formed a service learning after school club to raise awareness and support for the orphaned and abandoned children at the Love and Care Family Home in Kampala, Uganda. Their activities include selling T-shirts, Ugandan jewelry and learning about Ugandan food, dance, song and drumming.
